Stripe Connect
Overview
Tiveko uses Stripe Connect to process ticket payments securely. Each organization connects its own Stripe account to receive payments directly, without funds passing through Tiveko.
Prerequisites
- A Tiveko account with an Admin or Organizer role
- A Stripe account or be prepared to create one during the process
- Bank information to receive transfers
Connect Your Stripe Account
- Log in to Tiveko and go to Settings > Stripe
- Click Connect with Stripe
- You will be redirected to Stripe to complete the onboarding process
- Fill in the required information (company details, bank account, etc.)
- Once completed, you will be redirected back to Tiveko
If you already have a Stripe account, you can link it during the process. If not, Stripe will guide you to create a new one.
How Payments Work
Payment Flow
- A buyer selects tickets on your event page
- Tiveko creates a payment session in Stripe
- The buyer enters their card details directly in Stripe (card data never passes through Tiveko)
- Stripe processes the payment and notifies Tiveko
- Tiveko generates the tickets and sends the confirmation by email
Supported Currencies
You can configure your events to sell in:
- MXN (Mexican Pesos)
- USD (US Dollars)
The currency is configured per event at the time of creation.
Transfers and Fees
Transfers
Sales funds are transferred directly to your bank account linked in Stripe. Transfer times depend on your country and Stripe configuration (generally 2-7 business days in Mexico).
Fees
- Stripe charges its standard fee per transaction (see Stripe pricing for your country)
- Tiveko may apply a service fee depending on your subscription plan
You can check fee details in your Stripe dashboard.
Free Tickets
Tickets priced at $0.00 do not go through Stripe. They are generated directly without a payment process.
Refunds
Refunds are processed directly from your Stripe dashboard. Tiveko does not manage refunds directly, as the funds are in your Stripe account.
Disconnect Stripe
- Go to Settings > Stripe
- Click Disconnect
- Completed purchases will not be affected, but new sales cannot be processed without a connected Stripe account
Frequently Asked Questions
Do my credit card details pass through Tiveko?
No. All card data is processed directly by Stripe. Tiveko never has access to card numbers.
Can I use the same Stripe account for multiple organizations?
Yes, you can connect the same Stripe account to different organizations in Tiveko.
What happens if a payment fails?
If a payment fails, Stripe will display an error message to the buyer. No tickets will be generated, and the buyer can try again.
Can I sell tickets without connecting Stripe?
You can only sell free tickets ($0.00) without connecting Stripe. To sell paid tickets, you need to connect a Stripe account.
